Access for Parent/Child client configuration

The Parent/Child behaviour has been extended to allow users of eSuite HQ to see more information when they have a Parent/Child client setup, increasing the flow of accessing information regarding consumers and their purchases.

The following information outlines the key additions in functionality and the describes how to use them.

Changes for the Parent client

We've extended the access that Parent clients' have to view information regarding the Services, Offers and Subscriptions at the Child client level. This means a seamless experience when navigating through a consumer's account and understanding what subscription they have purchased, how that service is set up, and what offers or gifts might have been included.

The Parent will not be able to edit anything that is stored at the Child client level, which should still be in control by the Child, but it allows the Parent to understand the consumer's journey and get better understanding of performance, and the reasons for that performance.

The Parent will see an indicator within the interface to highlight that they are not on a page controlled by themselves.

Controlling permissions

The Parent client can also define whether the Child client can view accounts stored at the Parent's level. For a Child client to be able to validate a subscription, they have to be able to identify the consumer. This access can be switched on or off by the Parent, using the controls in the Settings section of eSuite HQ.

If this is switched on, the Child client will only be able to view data relevant to themselves, and not any other Child client associated with the Parent. If the function is switched off, then there will be no change to the current flow, or access.

Changes for the Child client

If the Parent client has granted access to account information, the Child client will be able to search for, and access, accounts that have orders associated with them. This means a seamless flow from identifying the consumer, through to viewing what they have purchased and what those purchases were made up of.

Like the Parent flow, the consumer will not be allowed to edit that they wouldn't normally control. This feature is designed to remove blockers in the flow of accessing information for improvedClient user experience.
